First: Trimline installs remote starters on automatic-transmission vehicles only.
Second: that's a deliberate choice, not a shortcoming. Remote-starting a manual transmission is technically possible, but it leans on a driver-run safety routine — set the parking brake, shift to neutral, pull the key, in that order, every single time — instead of a built-in mechanical safeguard. Miss a step and a car can start in gear. Plenty of shops won't touch manuals for exactly that reason, and we're one of them: we'd rather every install we do be clean, safe, and fully straightforward. If you drive a stick, you'll want a specialist who carries the right kit for it.
Will a remote starter void my car's warranty?
No — not on its own. Under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer generally can't void your warranty just because you added an aftermarket part. They'd have to show the added part actually caused the failure they're declining to cover. A remote start that's installed correctly doesn't give them that opening — which is exactly why professional installation is worth it.
