About Us – The Story of Trimline Window Tinting

Trimline Window Tinting was founded in 1975 by Jim Martin, a hardworking roofer who set out to build something of his own while raising a family. Looking for a new venture, Jim launched Trimline, initially offering services such as pinstriping, body side moldings, and sunroofs. As the business grew, Trimline became one of the first shops in the Kansas City area to offer professional window tinting, setting the standard in the industry.

Over the years, Jim's daughters lent a hand in the business, and today Trimline is run by his grandson Jordan — three generations of one family carrying the same name forward. Jim's infectious sense of humor and his ability to make people laugh helped build lasting relationships with customers, many of whom still remember him fondly. That dedication to quality and customer satisfaction is still the cornerstone of the shop.

Today, Trimline remains family-owned and operated from our shop at 10704 East 23rd St S in Independence, MO, proudly serving the greater Kansas City metro for over 50 years. Drivers come to us from Independence, Blue Springs, Lee's Summit, Raytown, and across the metro because we treat every customer like part of the family — and back tint work with the correct limited warranty for the service.
